Spicy Hibiscus Margarita

Equipment Needed


cutting board





4 cups agua de jamaica (recipe below) 

4 oz tequila

4 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice (from 3 to 4 limes)

2 tsp Martina’s Aguachile

flaked salt for glass rim

Martina’s Chili Powder (optional for glass rim)




Step 1: Have your Margarita glasses ready with the rim lined in salt (and Martina’s Chili Powder). In a pitcher combined jamaica, tequila, and lime juice. Stir to combine and pour into Margarita glasses filled with ice cubes, garnish with a lime wedge & enjoy!





Agua De Jamaica


Equipment Needed

small pot




2 1/2 cups dried hibiscus flower

1/2 cup agave nectar

1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice

1 1/2 tsp freshly squeezed lime juice



Step 1: Bring 2 cups of water to boil in a small pot. Remove from heat and add agave nectar and hibiscus flowers. Let steep for 30 minutes or until completely cooled. Strain into a pitcher and orange juice, lime juice, and additional 3-4 cups of water. Taste and adjust with agave and lime as needed.
